Community Education Business Partnership is a group of dedicated business leaders and educators is working to improve communication between these two groups and to better prepare students to enter the workforce.
The Mission of the Community Education Business Partnership program is to create opportunities to connect students with local companies to provide hands-on experiential learning experiences and demonstrate potential career paths. The program seeks to positively impact the national shortfall of students choosing technical and manufacturing careers; educate students and community members about the products and services offered at companies throughout the region; demonstrate the wide variety of careers and jobs that contribute to the overall success of companies; and to provide positive public relations opportunites for participating companies.
The committee, currently chaired by Andrew Bachmann, Chairman of Dymax Corporation, is in the process of implementing open house programs for students to enter area companies as well as job mentoring and shadowing opportunities.
