| The Community Education
Business Partnership (CEBP) is a tremendous collaboration
between area businesses and educators. CEBP was
formed in response to the growing concern of the
lack of workers entering technical industries
and the national disconnect between the business
and education sectors in preparing future workers.
A group of Dymax Corporation employees developed
and tested a pilot experiential education program
designed to give students a better idea about
the jobs and careers in the technology sector.
Based on the success of this pilot program, the
Community Education Business Partnership was formed.
Our mission is to create opportunities to connect
students with local companies to provide hands-on
experiential learning experiences and demonstrate
potential career paths. The program seeks to positively
impact the national shortfall of students choosing
technical and manufacturing careers; educate students
and community members about the products and services
offered at companies throughout the region; demonstrate
the wide variety of careers and jobs that contribute
to the overall success of companies; and to provide
positive public relations opportunities for participating
companies. |
