Promoting Your Business
Annual Spring Home & Business Expo
It’s the first weekend in April, and where should you be? The Torrington Armory, South Main Street, Torrington. Over 80 area businesses showcase their wares to over 7,000 attendees at the Northwest Connecticut Spring Home & Business Expo. This event sells out, so contact the Chamber early to become a part of this tremendous marketing opportunity! (Learn more)
Annual Membership/Business Directory
This wonderful marketing tool is distributed to 2,500 people including Chamber members, individuals interested in relocation, those visiting the Northwest Corner, and businesses looking to expand or relocate to our area.
Business After Hours
Held on a monthly basis, the Chamber’s Business After Hours are infamous throughout the Northwest Corner. Each month, a member company hosts the after hours event. The member is recognized on the invitation and a theme is developed for the evening. Over 150 business people attend these events. It is a wonderful way to showcase your business! (Learn more)
Local Media Outlets
“Chamber Chat” is aired each week on FM 89.9 WAPJ, The World of Arts, People and Joy (a part of the Nutmeg Conservatory for the Arts). Chamber Connection is aired on Cablevision 5 on Wednesdays at 7p.m. and Charter Communications Channel 13 on Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. Each week, The Register Citizen promotes the Chamber’s programs and news in its business section. Chamber members have an opportunity to place their ads alongside the Chamber news! The Republican-American publishes the Chamber’s weekly business article. Sponsorships and Guest Spots are available.
Committee Involvement
The Chamber’s biggest strength is its volunteers. Becoming involved with our committees is an excellent way to network and market your business. Our Membership Services, Leads Group and Government Relations Committees are just a few of the many opportunities available!
Corporate Sponsorship Program
This select group of businesses has committed to the Chamber on an elevated financial level, enabling us to serve our smaller members and the community at large. Corporate Sponsors are acknowledged at each Chamber event, listed on all stationery and every newsletter distributed from the Chamber, as well as on a plaque located in our lobby. Corporate Sponsor companies comprise our Corporate Steering Commission, assisting in the Chamber’s strategic planning.
Membership Mailing List
We have an excellent list of Chamber members, which is available to members only. Mailing labels can also be produced for members only upon request for $200. (Members have the option to exclude themselves from this list.)
Steal$ & Deal$
Employees of every Chamber member are provided with a Steals & Deals Member-to-Member Discount Club Card. When presented at participating businesses, special discounts or programs are offered to the employees. All Steals & Deals are listed monthly in our Chamber newsletter and our booklets are available at every event. Over 2,000 cards are distributed annually throughout Northwest Connecticut. (Learn more)
