O&G Industries, Inc., an innovative and diversified construction company based out of Torrington, CT, is seeking a Risk Management Associate to join our team. We are a highly respected leader in our field and ranked as one of the top construction firms in the Northeast.

This position will manage day-to-day claims, including claims evaluation, adjudication support, internal communication, and customer and employee service across all divisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Use data/analytics to develop tools and reports to make recommendations and provide insight to various stakeholders on claim prevention and mitigation
  • Work closely with insurance brokers, adjusters, third party administrators, defense counsel, management safety, employees, ownership, witnesses and claimants to promptly and accurately report and record claim details from intake to closure
  • Provide legal counsel with necessary information
  • Verify, update, and provide OSHA 300 and 300A data and reports, monthly and annually
  • Manage safety administration by tracking training for employees and subcontractors, coordinating meetings, liaising with outside vendors for deliverables, and handling MSHA reporting.
  • Coordinate and manage employees return to work and O&G’s light duty program
  • Monitor care of employees at workers compensation insurers Managed Care facilities

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience
  • Knowledge and experience with insurance – including, but not limited to, workers compensation, general liability, auto liability, professional liability, pollution liability, property liability and cyber liability
  • Familiarity with JD Edwards a plus
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to collaborate and communication with others
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Detail and deadline oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
