Summary

Responsible for transportation of Altek product, materials, and/or supplies to and from specified locations by performing the following duties. When deliveries are not being made (approx. 40% of the work week), this position will help out in shipping & Receiving or other departments as assigned..

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Includes the following, other duties may be assigned:
• Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate the delivery vehicle
• Ensure that deliveries have been signed and delivered to the correct recipient
• Complete logs and reports as specified
• Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
• Keep vehicle clean and maintained at all times
• Maintains the company’s electrostatic floor
• Assists departments with moving furniture and/or unloading and storing supplies
• Paints interior walls and trim
• Empties trash cans and consolidates trash for weekly pickup
• Fabricates and repairs counters, benches, partitions, and other structures
• Replaces light bulbs
• Responsible for understanding & following company guidelines/procedures
• Responsible for following established safety rules & 6S
Knowledge and Skill Requirements

• Good eyesight and hand coordination
• Good mechanical ability
• Ability to follow directions
• Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
Education and/or Experience

• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must have a good driving record with no traffic violations
• Must have experience driving a box truck
Working Conditions

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves lifting, pushing, pulling of materials and product up to 50 pounds.
